Weekend Getaway
The friendship behind this trip began in 2008. As a fresh-out-of-high-school CNA, I met this intelligent Unit Clerk who taught me important life lessons and all things heart rhythms. Fast forward to 2023- we have kids, busy lives, and our own businesses.
When Sasha reached out for a boudoir shoot in Vegas, I was all-in! I couldn't imagine a better way to reconnect after five years! In our catching up, we discussed her previous boudoir experience(not with me, a different CO-based photographer) and how she did not want to rehash that style or posing. Leave it to me to be irked that this other photographer didn't coach facials at ALL... I digress.
It was Friday evening when arrived in Vegas. We ate at Chubby Cattle (a hot pot restaurant- 10/10 recommend), followed by watching the X Burlesque show at the Flamingo, had a couples drinks in a fancy mirrored lounge, and enjoyed spending lots of time together. Lemme just say, that burlesque show made me want to do an entire set- just picture the feathers, lights, pole etc. Oh yes, this just HAS to happen. Any takers?
Saturday, PHOTOSHOOT DAY! Ahhh, my first (definitely not last) LasVegas hotel boudoir shoot. As we were staying at the Virgin in the Ruby Tower, the suites have warm colors and lots of windows. The story behind her shoot was "The professional business woman winding down after a long day". From stripping off the work clothes, to the shower after, we created absolutely FIRE images! She truly rocked her photoshoot. This session truly renewed my passion for boudoir in a whole new way! I am inspired, ideas flowing, and ready to take on my next project!
All this to say- I LOVE what I do! It is amazing having women experience true joy at seeing themselves as the gorgeous beings they are!
